popup - menus

        I have a question about popup-menus.I want to display a popup menu in a text
widget with the emission of a signal ( say the 'changed' signal ).I have tried
doing this and the popup menu has appeared but it is appearing at the current
position of the mouse.But I want it displayed in my text widget , at the
position of the cursor.How do I do this? I have tried to set the position of
the popup-menu with the 'set_position' routine in the function which I passed
as an argument to the 'popup' function.But it doesn't seem to work.Could
anybody please suggest a way in which this could be done.
