Did you build meta-gtk-osx-core?

No John, I followed:

$ jhbuild bootstrap
$ jhbuild build python
$ jhbuild build meta-gtk-osx-bootstrap
$ jhbuild build meta-gtk-osx-gtk3
$ jhbuild build meta-gtk-osx-themes

as I wanted to get gtk3.

Ah, wrong themes meta-module: That one's for gtk2. The Gtk3 one is meta-gtk-osx-gtk3-core-themes".
