Basically, I'm looking for a way to intercept the dropdown/popup
notification of the list box of the combo box.
The link I'm referring to does the job nicely, but I want to have something
for the versions prior to 2.10.
The idea is to implement dynamically filled combo box, when I know what items
will be in at run-time.
