Hello all,
After updating the GTK to GTK 2.4.7. I met with problem as follows.
1) X windows can not boot normally. The error shows, "
_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running
"
In log file, I found "
Sep 3 12:04:06 LPNP358 rc: Starting linuxconf-setup: succeeded
Sep 3 12:04:26 LPNP358 gdm[5855]: deal_with_x_crashes: Running the XKeepsCrashing script
Sep 3 12:08:01 LPNP358 gdm[5855]: Failed to start X server several times in a short time period; disabling display :0
Sep 3 12:08:12 LPNP358 login(pam_unix)[5852]: session opened for user wu by LOGIN(uid=0)
"
BUT, the "startx" works well, which can launch X server normally.
2) When run acroread, the error shows, "
** (acroread:18268): WARNING **: Invalid UTF8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() "
I dont know how to resolve these problems. Could you help me? Thanks.
Best regards,
Lyrae Wu
