I am so confused...there are GtkImage widgets, pixmaps, Gdk
pixbufs...the list goes on and on.
This is what I am trying to do: I am getting images from a
webcam--they are in YU12 pixel format. I have the webcam image
acquisition part done. I convert the image data to RGB and now I want
to display it in a simple window in my application but I am confused
about where to start.
What do I use to display webcam images in the most efficient way? Do
I use a GtkImage widget? do I use a pixmap, a pixbuf? There are API
routines about putting image data from a file into a widget but I am
getting my video data directly from the webcam driver.
Any help would be appreciated. I have the source to Ekiga but I cannot
find the low level routines that actually shows how a simple webcam
image is displayed.
Thanks,
-Andres
