Everything that was installed via RPM is probably expecting to find stuff in the location RedHat put them. Note that this may be *different* from where the ./configure script decides to put them. Most likely places for things to be changed are /usr/share and /var. > I don't have the original RPMs . > > whats is ur suggestion ? 1) Check http://www.rpmfind.net/ to see if you can find a copy of the RPMs. 2) Remember to always back your system up before major software upgrades. 3) Maybe you're in luck and putting stuff in the default places will work.
