GtkNotebook redraw bug

Bug:
 When GtkCheckButton(s) is(are) located at GtkNotebook page, and mouse
cursor is moved over checkbutton(gtk_state changes to PRELIGHT), 
tab_label (current page tab_label or tab_label _with keyboard focus_) 
redraws.
This causes flashing and flickering (especially on slow video cards).

Solution(?):
 Remove call to gtk_widget_draw_focus in line 949 of gtknotebook.c
I don't know if it is correct, but is seems that this quick patch breaks 
nothing.
Gtk+ version I'm using is 1.2.4
