I had no idea, and I find it hard to find good information on which
functions are public, which are private, and how you are all-around
supposed to use the Gtk+ system.
Nevertheless, I have now changed my program to not emit that signal
(or any else, for that matter) anymore.
Thanks for the link to your book preview. I will take a look at it,
and hopefully it provides more than looking at the source. The source
easily tells how things are working but gives no guarantees as to what
might change in new versions.
