Ich bin zwar noch ein Anfaenger - mit Gtk, nicht X und Unix - aber
ich versuche trotzdem, zu helfen.
Wahrscheinlich ist das totaler Unsinn, aber gibt es vielleicht
ein Problem mit den fonts ?

Ich habe keine Ahnung, was Gtk als default Font benutzt und
weiss ich nicht, was passiert, wenn dieser fehlt.
Das ist eben nur so eine Idee.

Hoffentlich loest's das Problem.

Ich kenne das Problem X11R6 vs. X11R5. Bei mir auf Solaris 2.5.1
ist auch X11R5 und trotzdem laufen Gtk 1.0.2 sowie Gimp (nach einem
Update von Gtk auf diese 1.0.2) problemlos.
Das war ein Absturz, sobald man in einem "entry" Feld etwas
selektiert hatte.
Fuer KDE 1.0 (auf Solaris) habe ich dann X11R6.3 von der KDE-Homepage
geholt und parallel zu X11R5 installiert. Das sollte auch
fuer HP-UX gehen. Nur mit dem PATH muss man dann aufpassen.
