Apparently, as Swedish characters work fine in the Gtk version of Siag.

I don't remember doing anything special. You are welcome to scrutinize the
sources at

	ftp://ftp.edu.stockholm.se/pub/siag/

but I think it should work out of the box.

Hmm, there seems to be some code to handle the key presses after all.
