Please help me with gtk-themes-CVS

I have downloaded the gtk-themes-CVS and have tried to compile it
I keep getting the same lot of errors.
they usually say


....

pixmap_theme_draw.c:261: warning: excess elements in struct initializer
after 'pixmap_default_class'
this goes through all the members of the "pixmap_default_class"
then
pixmap_theme_draw.c: In function 'match_theme_image':
pixmap_theme_draw.c:293: structure has no member named 'engine_data'
make[1]: *** [ pixmap_theme_draw.lo ] Error 1

I think have all that is needed to install gtk-engine.
i.e imlib 1.8
    gtk+1.1.3
    glib-1.1.4
