This is still divergent versions, just in one file. And it makes my
job harder to have everything in one file - bit of a nightmare trying
to find a particular section.

The tutorial currently uses the linuxdoc DTD which doesn't have
support for multiple verions (or, in fact, support for much at all).

Why not just supply all of the example code in a perl version? If the
text isn't going to be different, then there isn't much point in
having a complete new version, and as it isn't possible (easily) to
have multiple code versions in the Tutorial, this would seem
sensible.

Then people wanting to use the Perl bindings can read the current
tutorial, but use the Perl example code. Of course, the function
declarations that are in the tutorial will be for C, but you could
write a primer.
