Yes. Alex' work was done on both gtk-2.24 and master branches, but due
to differences between the two lines of development happened at a 
different
time IIUC.
For the (smaller) bugfixes I've been doing, I make sure all of them 
written
for the gtk-2-24 branch are ported -if still applicable- to master and
vice versa *before* pushing the patches, just so we don't get bug 
reports
on GTK+3 for something already solved in 2.24 :)
