This is something I would really like to see. To me the purpose of glib
was always to be an "extension" of libc, i.e. it provides some fairly
low-level language-level stuff, that is mainly domain-unspecific.
Therefore I see the proliferation of desktop-specific stuff (i.e. at the
moment GBookmark, G_KEY_FILE_DESKTOP_*) in glib as rather critical.
