The subclassing approach seem to work in galeon/epiphany. Maybe we should
consider the idea of doing a step further and design a "multidocument" widget,
and make the use of a notebook only an implementation detail.
In any case I think it's very important to get feedback on it from GNOME
usability team, possibly a specification. While it doesnt seem like a complex
thing, tabs introduce several, not easily solvable, interaction problems.
