Hi,
some times ago I made a patch to put Sound-Juicer track list inside a
GtkExpander. Sound-Juicer uses a resizeable window and the patch handled
expanding/shrinking, maybe you can give it a look. Tha patch was not
accepted, but it is on bugzilla.gnome.org, the link is:
