gtk+2 keystroke binding to scrolled window list

Hi
Looking for a way (example code) to bind keystrokes to a scrolled
window list.

So for example if i have a list in a scrolled window:

A
B
C
D
E
...

typing C would position the list on the entry C.

I have a large list in which i want to implement this so it easy for the
user to quick position onto a certain part of the list.
