But gnomecanvas is a library made for Gnome, no.
I think with only Gtk we can develop apps, with widgets that Gtk give us, if we want make apps using libraries of Gnome (like libgnomecanvas) we're giving to our apps a orientation at Gnome. But that doesn't mean our apps be just for Gnome.
