Copy/Paste GtkTextView

Dear gtk-app-devel-list members,
I am using copy/paste inside a gtk2.2 gtktextview.
The selected text is by default copied with its properties.
I would like to copy/paste only the raw text without its properties.
How can I acheive this ?
