I get this message when running my app on 8 color bits:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)
serial 3785 error_code 10 request_code 88 minor_code 0
Gdk-ERROR **: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)
serial 3786 error_code 10 request_code 88 minor_code 0
This is with gtk1.2.10, I am pretty sure this message
didn't show up with older (1.2.3) versions of gtk.
Moreover, pressing a button in one of my dialogs,
sometimes changes the look of several unrelated
frame widgets (the frame shadow line becomes white)
This only happens with 8 bits, on this good old
Intel PC running Red Hat Linux 5.2 with XFree 3.*.
Could someone offer an explanation for this?
I am trying to make my app more user friendly
for partly supported graphic cards and old hadware,
(Mmmh, did I say my G4 Powerbook running Yellow Dog
Linux 2.2 is currently working only on 8-16 bits...)
Thanks for answering,
Carlos
