about the buffer

Hi,All:

    I have one question about the buffer of Gtk.

    I use the GdkPixMap as drawing buffer now. But my client tell me
that this buffer is slow. They want me to use another buffer. I don't
know what buff should I use.
    Would you please tell me some info about it?
