I recently needed to do the same thing. But I choose to convert my apps to 2.0. The only thing that this 
effected
was changing the GtkText widgets to GtkTextView widgets. Otherwise the port went very smoothly. I used
Lillqvist's pre-compiled win32 port on win2000.
