Re: programming editor

KDE is supposed to have an IDE that supports Gnome. (Except that you have
to get KDE 2.1 installed and that is not an easy task. I have yet to find
any of the KDE 2.1 RPMs that will install cleanly on the intended system.)

In debian you just apt-get install kdevelop... In other distros I think that
the packages you have to install are whatever is needed for a kde desktop. It
works fine running under gnome though, and I have to say, except for the lack
of VI as an editor, it's pretty sweet. Makes gnome apps just fine (the test
app anyway), through a little wizard. It's a VERY impressive program I have
to say.
