2D plot widget

Hello,
        I need to do some real-time 2D plotting (adding data
every other 3 to 6 seconds). I know there's a gtk_plot widget,
but I'd like to know what my choices are. I'd like to have
something like a Matlab plot window with axes labels and units,
title, replot/refresh capabilities, ...  What would you
recommend? Are there any documentation links?
