Connection of focus_out_event to a GtkEntry

Hi,
    I'm trying to store the value of a few GtkEntry widgets in a
structure. Could I add a signal like focus_out_event or
leave_notify_event to the GtkEntry and then connect a callback which
assigns the value to the structure.

Any help is appreciated
