That key combination is XFree86-specific -- it won't in general
work on other servers (although it might).
E.g. Sun's server shuts down with L1-ctrl-DEL as I recall.
So the session management is better. But, there is no way to make
this work on all servers.
Also, as has been noted, shtting down an X server when someone is
(for example) in the middle of sending email or playing Quake :-),
will make you unpopular.
