However, couldn't the delete/trash function just be modified so it
only works if the browser has the focus?
if you mean when the file list has the focus, yes I agree
Otherwise, I would suggest adding a Trashcan button, since deletes are
such a common operation.
don't forget that the delete command is available in the context menu as
well
