Personnaly I rename my pictures to "%Y-%m-%d_####%e"
In 2.10.x I'm using %d_####%e, where I removed %H.%M.%S from %d
Ideally I would like to be able to use any strftime() format character,
but that might be too much.
Otherwise a few date special codes would be good.
What do you think?
some special code could be added for the last modified date or the exif date in a specific format, but in general the user must be able to specify the date field and the date format as well, so some special syntax should be introduced to specify the format such as %date{ %H-%M-%S }, or something like that.
Ok, so your idea is to 'embed' the strftime codes in a %date{} ? That sounds very good.
I'll try to provide a patch (no guarantee)
