in the meanime I had more files without problems than with ... ??? it might be, can't tell for sure,
that the issue affects files which:
- are, or have sometimes been in their history, stored in *.ods format???
and / or
- have been touched with a gnumeric 'long double' version,
and / or
- might be caused by highdpi / 4k screen display specialities?
that could fit with the issue that the ods export test t6102-objs-ods.pl produces lots of fails like:

where - IMHO - position values are messed up,
with 'gnumeric-long'!, gnumeric-std passes,
and that could match with some compiler warnings about type mismatches when building the long version,
! be aware that most of these warnings are only thrown on a fresh compile, re-compiles after changes ignore most of them as they skip untouched files? !

minor issue:
i just feel really nice stupid, i want to switch from working as 'root' to working as user,
actually things work fine ... but gnumeric now opens files in 'reduced view', see screenshots.
I can't find where to change this, scaling of the desktop makes everything too big, default scaling
in gnumeric makes only big font for the margins ... it seems that documents newly created as user
work better, they get default row height 18, but those I made earlier as root open unreadable until
I double row height and column width.
