If you're dealing with datasets where you have that many rows then
you're likely to be better off using a relational database like
PostgreSQL or a statistics package like R. You'll get better
performance as they're designed to work with massive datasets and
you can constrain the types of data held in a way that isn't possible
with a spreadsheet. The cost is that they're more difficult to work
with than gnumeric.
