Mac install issues with macports

After running macports with commands:

sudo port selfupdate
sudo port install gnumeric

I get a glib2 failed due to upgrade to goffice failed (see log below).

Are there any known work-arounds for this situation to get gnumeric to install 
on a macbook pro?

The ports tree has been updated. To upgrade your installed ports, you should 
run
  port upgrade outdated
