Hi All,
I'm transitioning from excel and trying to use functions like =countif($BA$2:$BA$36,"Fr*") to count all the
freshmen in my class list, and I find that the asterisk, *, is not recognized.
If that doesn't work as advertised, the first step is to file
a bug report at bugzilla.gnome.org (I fixed MATCH to handle
wildcards not that long ago, so we have all the pieces of
the puzzle.)
Anyone know how?
Entering something like this as an array formula (i.e., use
ctrl-shift-enter) should work
=sum(if(iserror(search("bus",$BA$2:$BA$36)),0,1))
