White flash when switching to Gnumeric window

Hello,

   I am using a dark KDE scheme, and this white flash is killing me.

This white flash occurs when making gnumeric the active window; the
cells are first painted as a white rectangle (the white flash) and then
(~ms later) the proper data appears.

I am looking at recompiling gnumeric with this small change. Could any
of you direct me on this?
