Hi Martin:
I looked at Gnumeric 1.2.5 and I can import text files directly. Freom the
top tool bar, in Data, I select Import Text. A selection window pops up and
from there I can click on a drop down box to select the text import tool.
Version 1.2.5 is what comes with OpenBSD 3.5.

Hello Jonathan,
Thanks for the tip. I am able to paste into gnumeric from gedit.
