Hi Gnumeric folks,
I have a problem in trying build gnumeric-1.0.10. I get this error
message:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/lib/gnumeric/gnumeric-1.0.10'
./xml-i18n-merge ./po gnumeric.desktop.in gnumeric.desktop -d -p
Malformed UTF-8 character (unexpected non-continuation byte 0xd3,
immediately after start byte 0xf7) in pattern match (m//) at
./xml-i18n-merge line 329, <PO_FILE> line 19.
This is on a freshly setup RedHat 8.0 machine. I have built all the
dependencies listed on the download page. Had one problem there,
building gnome-libs it gives an unresolved reference error to:
`__db185_open', so that failed. I suspect that the gnome-libs problem
is unrelated to my "Malformed UTF" problem, from things I've found in
the archive suggesting that I don't need to build gnome-libs.
Any clues would be appreciated.
