hi,
hardly trying to be a satisfied end-user of the Gnumeric package...
I also am getting problems with upgrade from a Slack.8.0 binary package
(0.65) to the 1.0.4 built from source. (I know, outdated but with a
dialup line only I have to rely on computer magazine CDs)
Text import is broken now. I know this is not related directly to
gnumeric, but your help will be much appreciated, I don't use any gnome
stuff except for gnumeric.
My locale setting is LC_ALL= LC_CTYPE=pl
thus the printable charset is iso-8859-2.
Screen fonts, printed fonts are OK all the time.
But some actions taken with text file import generate an error message as
below:
Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation
Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-2
Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-2
Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkfont.c: line 318 (gdk_string_width): assertion
`font != NULL' failed.
Please send suggestions on where to look for a misconfiguration or
missing component(s).
