I have this errors since 0.74? or 0.75 with guppi 0.40 an before... No matter if it is compiled by source or installed with rpm! The last thing I tried was a complete reinstallation of all gnome related packages from mandrake. I have used ximian before on my SuSE (was 7.1) system. But I havent found any way to use guppi with gnumeric. Now I am waiting impatiently for newer rpms for ximian and maybe a fixed guppi. But since many others seem to use successfully guppi in combination with gnumeric there is maybe another incompatibility in my system... There was mention of this on the guppi list a few months back.OK, after updating to the "GnomeHide" RPM I now have a chart guru in my Gnumeric. Almost nothing works, it's certainly not possible to complete the Guru and actually create a chart, a typical set of errors look like:Is it really this hard? I was honestly expecting that Gnumeric 1.0 would mark a place where I could tell users to try Gnumeric instead of Excel, but the lack of charts makes that seem impossibly distant. It is not difficult. I have no idea what is going on with the various rpm packagings. This has worked when built from source since September. It has worked via the debian packages for a few months too. Can someone please figure out what is going on with the rpms and feed the required fixes back to the packagers ? _______________________________________________ gnumeric-list mailing list gnumeric-list gnome org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnumeric-list-- ______________ Thomas Emmel ..--.. - .... --- -- .- ... .-.-.- ________________________________________________________ Inst. of mechanics, TU Darmstadt, phone: +49(6151)164966 http://coulomb.mechanik.tu-darmstadt.de/~emmel irc: tom123 --------------------------------------------------------------Attachment: pgpMegH7kvlP3.pgp
