0.62 has a printing flag which controls the printing of pages with
visible styles and no content.

There is a minor typo in 0.62 that will produce some warnings.  It
has been fixed and the upcoming 0.63 patch release will be made this
week.
 
Finally, the 1761 page output uncovered another bug: It does not work
to pick page 1720..1734 from the resulting PostScript (using gv or
similar).  There are probably some function definitions or font
selections put into the first page, rather than the preamble.
Selecting 1,1720..1734 works.

Hmm, interesting.  This may be a gnome-print problem.  Please file
a bug with bugzilla.gnome.org and we'll have a look.
