errors messages seen but not understood

Below are some messages I saw for the first time with gnumeric. The one
thng I can think of which could have caused this was the use of the
accounting format on a list of numbers. It was set to no symbol/2 dec.
places (I know, I know, number does that as well) and applied over a list of
numbers (but I don't recall if it was applied via dragging or not).
Update--I just tried this on a blank file. It comes about from simply
applying said format to a cell.
AFAICT nothing is wrong with the file itself. (I hope! :)
Gnumeric 0.56.0, BTW.
The parse error was an obvious typing mistake.
