Hi Jody,

In the spirit of 'release often' another snapshot (0.60) is planned
for early next week.  Please kick the tires and update the
translations.


Tire kick #1:

    checking for Gnome App libraries (GAL) >= 0.2.99.0... 
    configure: error: You need at least GNOME Application libs 0.2.99.0
    for this version of Gnumeric

So, gnumeric-0.60 is (right now) needing CVS gal.  Are you coordinating
with an upcoming gal release?
