If you want to do application sharing and you have a choice, use vnc.

If you really want T.120 use netmeeting.  That is what almost every
other video conferencing system in existence does.

What other systems do that gnomemeeting does not do is start netmeeting
for you when needed.  Standalone videoconferencing systems connect to a
PC running netmeeting. Could gnomemeeting do the same?  On linux,
perhaps it could send the stream to a virtual serial port on a vmware
like box?
