Hi.
I've a problem with /dev/dsp on a sony vaio. The sound chipset
is an Intel 82801DB AC'97.
If I lsmod, I get :
i810_audio
ac97_codec
soundcore
The sound works, xmms plays La Woman (The Doors) like a charm.
The microphone whisles very nice.
But when I start GM, I get a lot of logs like :
Can't get module sound-slot-1
Can't locate module sound-service-1-0
And if I test the sound, it tells me :
Cannot use the audio device
The selected audio device (/dev/dsp) was successfully opened
but it is impossible to write to this device. Please check
your audio setup.
Someone experienced this kind of problem ? Known issue ?
Oh, I forgot it : I use GM with 1394 enabled and a firewire
camera.
Norbert
