That's because the i810 chipset a very cheap one. It doesn't support the
sampling frequency used by GnomeMeeting.

Yes, but you have to use GnomeMeeting CVS (very hard to install yet,
when it becomes easier or when we have packages, I will mail this
mailing list).

Yes, but not with the current GnomeMeeting. The current GnomeMeeting
supports ALSA through the OSS emulation. The CVS of GnomeMeeting
supports native ALSA, and it *should* - it has not been tested - be able
to do resampling and record at another frequency and convert to the
requested one.

ALSA is better than OSS, always, but that won't fix your problem except
if you are using GM with native ALSA support and not OSS emulation.
However, you could try.
