In the Firewire case, the device sends a DV stream which has both audio and
video in it. The current video support of PWLib looks for video frames, decodes
them and sends them on. The problem is that both video and audio grabbers have
to use the same stream if they are to be used together. I don't think anyone
would want to use the audio only. I believe that USB cameras with integrated
mics simply provide 1 USB hub and 2 devices connected to that hub, which is a
completely different story.

Let's not forget what the AVC cameras are after all - Audio/Video Camera. They
provide a stream that can easily be stored, played and/or edited. :)

I am still open to suggestions.
