Thanks for your replies!

I got gconf-editor to change the color_format value more easily. I tried
different values as described in older postings. I cannot get it to
work! Regardless to the setting of color_format the druide complains
always that YUV420P is not supported. Didn't I changed that? I tried to
set the value with different tools/commands and therefore I think that
this setting is not the problem. Is YUV420P in a way hard linked?
