I really wanna add G.723.1 codec to openh323 and it seems that openh323 does have a skeleton of G.723.1 . it is an empty codec using ITU-T test code. I tested the ITU-T ANSI C codec, the encoding is poorly slow, decoding has no problem.

The patents about G.723.1 has been discussed many times on the mailing
list that you can find on www.openh323.org .
If you want G.723.1 with GnomeMeeting, the best is to use a Quicknet
card.

For H.263, I think there is no problem to add the H.263 implementation
of ffmpeg, people told me that the quality was very good.
