well....afaik.../dev/sound/ dir is not related to OSS but to devfs which
place sound devices in this dir.
then since few gnomemeeting-cvs.deb (thanks to kilian) GM is now
supporting ALSA direclty. but if you're using official release, you have
to load oss-compat module for ALSA (snd-pcm-oss iirc)(as said by Kilian
in a previous mail in answer to your question :-) )
