Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] Sound problems

Hi,

I made progress...
I have managed to make a few short conferences with sound.

My latest conclusion is that my problems are because of my modem (HaM PCI). When the
traffic (outbound especially) exceeds the max limit (around 5k for my dialup line)
this "host accelerated" modem seems to loose control and my line dies. My only chance
then is to redial. I can have a nice conversation without video, though because the
the channel is not overloaded.

I tried with artsd alive and still works (the way I mentioned above). Damien, do you
think that artsd would be the cause of all this strange behaviour, or it could just
make the sound to be completely out from the beginning? In other words, if artsd is
making me problems I would be able to hear something in gnomemeeting?

Another question: if it's not the modem, it could be that line freezing (in fact only
the outbound traffic - strange) is an issue of 0.12.2 and solved in 0.84?

Cheers, Adrian
