I think that you are missing the gconf devel libraries.
If you want to run *and* compile, you need the gconf binary and the gconf
devel libraries.

That is not a sound problem, but a mutex problem. A mutex was taken in 
a place where it was unneeded, and it caused OpenH323 to assert on some
configurations (obviously not mine or it would have been fixed before the 
release ;))

GM 0.85.1 will be released on tuesday with that bugfix among others.
My girlfriend made tests between 2 GM's (with auto-dialing) and she stopped
both GM after 676 calls => it should be stable.
