Re: How can I choose an arbitrary executable or `*.desktop` file for specifying the default web browser?

Hi all,

try renaming the .desktop file to have a unique name. I had a similar
issue with gnome-shell overview. So I suppose it might help here as
well...

However, I had already tried this solution before, and it hadn’t worked.

Yeah, I've noticed this before as well. I'd like to be able to set Epiphany
in Incognito mode as my default browser, but after duplicating the .desktop
for it with the right command line args in ~, it doesn't show up in the list.

So maybe it's being ignored as a duplicate, or because it's in ~ not /usr,
or maybe Settings is ignoring it for some other reason?
